Thursday 19 March 2026 Freddy Fit visited St Johns 12.3.26/19.3.26 Over the past two weeks, Freddy Fit has been visiting our school to talk about healthy eating, the importance of teamwork, and keeping ourselves fit. Each class, from Nursery to Year 6, enjoyed a full session with him. The children had lots of fun taking part in energetic exercise activities and moving to music. Freddy also helped the children understand why exercise is so important for both their physical and mental health. Regular physical activity helps to keep our hearts healthy, strengthens muscles and bones, and improves overall fitness. It can also boost mood, increase confidence, and help children to focus better in class. Through fun and engaging activities, the children learned that staying active doesn’t just keep us healthy, but can also be enjoyable and something we can do together. We look forward to welcoming him back next year.

Wednesday 18 March 2026 Zoolab! 18.3.26 On Wednesday, Oliver from Zoolab visited St John’s EYFS and KS1. He brought along some of his animals and taught us many interesting facts about them, including how to care for them properly and treat them with kindness. The children had a wonderful day—it was very exciting, and they showed great bravery when meeting and handling the animals. It was a fantastic learning experience for everyone involved.
