Our Church
St John’s C of E Church

St John’s Church is part of the life of St John’s School in that a significant number of parents, grandparents, carers and children regularly attend the All Age Services each Sunday at 11.00 am.
Celebrating Reverend Aysha ❤️⛪
Last month, we said a very fond farewell to Reverend Aysha as she retired from her role at St John’s Church.
Since joining us in March 2020, Rev Aysha has been a very special part of the St John’s family. She has worked closely with our school community, welcoming our children, families and staff into church and helping our pupils to understand and experience the Christian faith in meaningful and memorable ways.
From leading our Christmas and Easter Church School Services, to welcoming classes into church for Advent, Christmas and Easter experiences, and helping our children learn about important Christian traditions such as baptism and weddings, Rev Aysha has always made our children feel so welcome.
She has also been a familiar and much-loved face in school, leading Collective Worship for both our Infants and Juniors and sharing her warmth, kindness and faith with our children and staff.
We would like to thank Rev Aysha for her years of dedicated service to St John’s Church and for everything she has done to support, encourage and inspire our school community. We will miss her greatly and wish her every happiness as she begins this next chapter.
We are incredibly grateful for the special relationship between St John’s Church and St John’s School, and we look forward to continuing this important partnership. We also look forward to welcoming our new minister to the St John’s family in the near future.
Thank you, Rev Aysha, for everything. You will always have a special place in the St John’s family. ❤️✨
