Mrs Bannister
I am Helen Bannister, a Year 6 teacher with four years’ experience in Upper Key Stage 2. I am the Subject Leader for History and Geography and also the KS2 Lead. I am passionate about inspiring children to enquire about the past and to learn more about themselves and the world they live in. I strongly believe that building positive, trusting relationships is key to successful learning and personal development.
I have a real love of music and musical theatre and always look forward to the Year 5–6 summer production. I also enjoy residential trips such as Robinwood and can usually be found joining in with most of the activities—although the initial walk up the hill to get there is not my favourite! Outside of school, I enjoy reading, playing the piano and listening to music and going to gigs, spending time with my children as well as stomping through the hills with my dogs.
